Bangor Marina was formed in November 2000 as a direct result of 60 berth holders meeting at the
Inaugural General Meeting, held in the Marine Court Hotel, Bangor, Co. Down.
It was started with
the full consent of the owners, North Down Borough Council, and the managers, Crest Nicholson Marinas
Ltd. The RYA was in attendance in the form of Peter Waring, the Chairman of the RYA National Marinas
and Moorings Panel. BMBHA since it's formation has now become afilliated to the RYA.
The objective
of BMBHA is to act as an intermediary for the members in issues that affect them. We intend to work with
the managers and the owners to try and ensure that the high standards already set are maintained and
if possible improved.
